What Does The Bible Teach About Tithing?

Luke 6:38 says, “Give and it will be given to you; a good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you”

Malachi 3:10 tells us to “’Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,’ says the LORD Almighty, ‘and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that you will not have room enough for it’"

You see, giving increases our faith and proves the Lord’s faithfulness.

2 Corinthians 9:7 states, “Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.”

Remember, God doesn’t need our money, and he wants us to give because we want to and not because we have to.
